Friday July 15th, 2011 10:36 Timeless Tom Watson Holes in One!

This very day at the Open Championship, the sun is shining and the wind is complacent – at the minute.

While that could be classed as extraordinary, it would be the events at the 6th hole of Royal St George’s, where a legend of the game, Tom Watson, would prove timeless!

Watson is 61 years young, but would not be the oldest to have “aced” in Open history.  Gene Sarazen was 71 when he aced the famous Postage Stamp at Troon in 1973. Read the rest of this entry »
