Friday July 15th, 2011 10:36 Timeless Tom Watson Holes in One!

This very day at the Open Championship, the sun is shining and the wind is complacent – at the minute.

While that could be classed as extraordinary, it would be the events at the 6th hole of Royal St George’s, where a legend of the game, Tom Watson, would prove timeless!

Watson is 61 years young, but would not be the oldest to have “aced” in Open history.  Gene Sarazen was 71 when he aced the famous Postage Stamp at Troon in 1973. Read the rest of this entry »

It has been a while between video drinks since iamjonnyking last talked sport to a piece of recording equipment.

What a weekend of fun – or not so much if you’re a fan of two teams – but for the other two teams it was the weekend that was won. Now we are down to a Final fling, as the Crusade embarks on another rugby journey, returning to the ground that was front-in-centre in their thinking, post that final whistle in the round robin, versus the Reds.  The Crusaders now have their chance finish the fairies and end this tale with a happy ending.
