Life is a season.
There is a time for each act to have it’s moment in the theater of our living.
Reflective on this context, if my memory is correct, it was perchance that I came across the following context and the subsequent track.
Watching and listening to Sarah Philips evocative tribute to her Mother was very moving at the time, and remains very much still.
In my own journey under the Sun, I distinctively remember the time when I first felt and heard the crushing of the Leaves, signalling a season of change. As a young boy trying to keep a brave face, I would weep… inconsolable… as I viewed my Poppa’s lifeless shell.
It still proves to be a marker in the road!
Enough of me; back to Miss Sarah Philips.
On the Youtube page where the following lyrical tribute is located, these words illuminate:
I recorded ‘Autumn’ into my mobile phone in my bedroom on the 10th February 2010, the evening my mother, Debbie Phillips, died of cervical cancer. Family friend, Charlie Mole, subsequently added the musical accompaniment. This was played as a tribute at her funeral on 25th February.

It would not be until after the fact that I would understand that this track was written and produced by Scottish artist, Paolo Nutini, as a tribute to his Grandfather.
